Job Description SummaryResponsible for managing the Operational Resiliency Oversight Function within the Global Operational Resiliency Office supporting Global Services and C&IS (Asset Servicing), responsible for oversight reporting and executing Operational Resiliency strategic initiatives. Actively participate and engage with the immediate leadership team and wider business in support of strategic decision making and the delivery of strategic projects. Carries out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues. Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to ensure adherence to resiliency office guidelines.
The Main Responsibilities of the Role include
- Proactive management of the Operations Resiliency Oversight team, and to provide required support to wider business
- Responsible for business dependency oversight monitoring of risks and vulnerabilities across all services. This will include the production of required Management Information reporting, investigation into areas of concern / issues, and the tracking of any required remediation
- Review all relevant resiliency metrics ensuring their accuracy and fit for purpose in supporting the Resiliency Strategy
- Oversee the resiliency program covering the Operational Resiliency Risk Attestation framework and monitoring of Global Services and C&IS adherence
- Maintain the Value Chain Mapping documentation for Important Business Services, and co-ordinate validation through the
- attestation/champions
- Monitor and review impact of new Products and Organizational change on C&IS and Global Services resiliency strategy
- Coordinate internal and external audits for the program ensuring timely delivery of data and effective closure of any audit findings
- Identifies and solves complex, operational and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department
- Guided by organization functional business plans, impacts the department results by supporting and funding of projects, products, services and/or technologies
Skills/ Experience
- Strong knowledge ofoperational resiliency includingdisaster/business recovery,business continuity management, 3rd party vendor/outsourcing, corporate risk policies and standards
- Highly flexible and adaptable to change, self-motivated and able to independently drive results
- Strong analytical skills ability to analyze and synthesize large amounts of information into concise and structured output
- Demonstrated ability to think logically and deconstruct a larger problem into sub-components, prioritize issues, and allocate resources
- Ability to communicate complex ideas top-down, ask targeted questions to arrive at solutions
- Excellent interpersonal skills displaying the ability to engage diverse set of stakeholders, understand their viewpoints, build long-term relationships, create a collaborative and inspirational environment within the team
- Proven leadership and organizational skills are required to determine the Business Units goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of staff
- Applies knowledge of key business drivers and the factors that maximize department performance
- Persuades managers and leaders to take action and/or negotiates with external
- partners/vendors/clients
- Several years of related experience in operational control and / or resiliency
- Manages multiple related teams, sets departmental priorities and allocates resources to align with business objectives and annual plan
