What Youll Do

As an

Operations Analyst

A few of your day to day duties will include

  • Maintaining investment data in databases and materials and prepare reports on the data.
  • Perform research and assist with building new funds and other non-proprietary investment options.
  • Participate in relationships with outside investment providers which make their products available to retirement plans at Principal.
  • Participate in the design of trainings regarding the investment platform, investment projects, and related topics.
  • Assist with projects regarding events impacting investment platform options including regulation changes, mergers, closures, policy changes, etc.

Who You Are

  • Bachelors degree, or equivalent, required, preferably in finance or business.
  • 3+ years of work experience (Experience with investment/mutual fund operations or related is preferred).
  • Opportunity for FINRA licensing but not required.
  • Good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Must be detailed oriented. Must have good problem solving, planning, and time management skills.
  • Must have the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, exercise flexibility when dealing with people and effectively communicate with internal and external contacts at all levels.
  • Proficiency with Word and Excel required.

Work Environments

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC.
