Operational Resilience Manager - First line of Defense

Role/Department

The successful candidate will support the Operational Resilience Program with change management governance, resiliency-based controls, procedures, standards, and resiliency associated technology tooling. This will improve Northern Trust's ability to identify and manage risk across the organization, by aligning and equipping resilience stakeholders with new practices, guidance, and tools to be incorporated over time.

The key responsibilities of the role include

Develop and implement 1LOD procedures on change controls for Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery and Operational Resiliency plans.

Develop and implement Change Management Governance protocols and Control Standards, covering roles and responsibilities, change trigger requirements, and reporting.

Plan and manage support for the change management tool and processes.

Ensure adherence to change management policies and procedures.

Supervises the daily activities of support team members

Design, collaborate with technology and evidence ability to sustain the change management tech-enabled workflow / notification / reporting tool.

Sets team priorities to ensure task completion coordinates work activities with other supervisors

The successful candidate will benefit from having

Several years financial services experience with substantial experience in change management / operational resiliency.

Working knowledge of the appropriate standards and regulations e.g., ISO22301 and FCA/PRA/BoE and other country regulator's publications in relation to Operational Resilience.

Previous people management experience.

Manages related teams, sets team priorities, and allocates resources to align with business objectives.

Management skills proven stakeholder engagement experience, engaging and inclusive management style, with experience of having managed operational resilience / operational processes / risk management initiatives.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functions to achieve measurable results.

Highly flexible and adaptable to change, self-motivated and able to independently drive results.
