Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking an effective Network Operations Center Analyst with event management, operations center, systems monitoring and/or problem resolution experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives.

Distributed Operations is a server and application support team that is looking for an experienced SME to join the team. This staff member will be a go to person for the team, they will provide technical guidance and feedback to the team with an overall goal of improving our current processes. This individual will work closely with team members and leadership to figure out areas of focus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex tasks as required
  • Function as a SME for less experienced team members and provide internal training / documentation
  • Creates and follows detailed Change Management documentation and implements approved changes
  • Must have a sense of urgency and the commitment required to work in a complex 24/7 environment
  • Works with technical support groups to implement new hardware, software, and application technologies. (Isolate server hardware faults and coordinate vendor dispatches to replace faulty components (i.e. break/fix), Engaged with vendor service reviews (HPE, Cisco, etc.), Partner with vendor and level 3 teams for process improvement initiatives)
  • Analyzes Network Operations Center application and system events using appropriate test structures and related diagnostics.
  • Manage ticket queues for Incident, Change, Problem,Server Operating Systems Support, Manual patch remediation for select Windows and Unix servers, Component level monitoring (RAM, CPU, disk, NIC, etc.), Server OS troubleshooting / triage / log
  • analysis,Virtual
  • Big IP/F5 pool manipulation performed to support customers for change activities, patch remediation, and incidents
  • Enable/disable SiteScope monitors and investigate SiteScope related errors
  • Perform weekly maintenance for select applications, Perform quarterly DR tasks for select applications

Basic Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3 years of experience with a data center operating environment, day-to-day operational requirements, and the operation of production systems and equipment.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • 3+ years of in-depth knowledge and working experience with

  • Linux/Unix

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means theres an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
