The position is for a
Mobile Engineering Lead Developer
You will help incubate, prototype, implement and inform the roadmap for new digital products, working in agile squads alongside highly skilled global Product Owners, Designers, Researchers and Engineers. Our ideal candidate is a senior-level mobile lead engineer who is equally comfortable working with designers to build a beautiful front-end experience in any mobile platform, designing architecture of mobile applications, writing specifications shaping into our broader mobile platform roadmap, being the technical voice at the table, prepared to educate and guide the business on the right approach, technologies and trends.

- Developing in TypeScript, React Native, Angular, Kotlin, Swift and many others
- Learning whatever we need and doing everything to reach our goals let it be the implementation of design-system components for mobile, holding the torch and establishing mobile-development practices in BlackRock through the Mobile Council or phase to full-stack and develop our back-end in the cloud
- Writing testable software every day, with a focus on incremental innovation

You have
- 5+ years hands-on experience developing and delivering mobile applications end-to-end considering responsive- and multi form-factor design implementations
- Experience building UI components, major architectural building-blocks, cross-cutting aspects using one of the latest mobile-technologies on iOS (e.g. React Native or Swift) and languages (e.g. JavaScript, TypeScript, Swift or Objective-C), you are setting example and acting as a role model when writing code and expect it from your team
- Experience in using mobile-technologies which fulfill non-functional requirements and are essential for a production-quality, scalable and secure software
- Passion for technology and architecture meaning you possess a deeper functional understanding of how frameworks you are using work and being up-to-speed with current proven trends, technologies and approaches
- Strong object-oriented skills and familiarity with design patterns and implementation experience using one or more OO languages
- Knowledge and experience adhering to software development life cycle best practices including testing discipline, agile development and CI/CD strategies.
- B.S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, ability to translate real business problems into technical solutions and gain consensus on plans from a non-technical audience
- A track record of forging positive relationships and building trusted partnerships through open dialogue and continuous delivery
Nice to Have
- Experience in full-stack development, through API-implementation to data-store connectivity and design (SQL or noSQL)
- Shown track-record of building and delivering something on your own
- Active participation in communities, meetups
