Overview

The Index & Data Solutions team (IDS) is responsible for the index and data strategy for the firm and the management of the commercial relationships with each provider. The Operations team within Index & Data Solutions handles all market data and index requests and works with the vendors to address various reporting, invoice processing and other needs in timely manner. The group is comprised of three key areas Client Onboarding & Servicing, Market Data Operations, and Index Licensing Operations and has team members in Princeton, Atlanta, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Singapore and Budapest.

Role Description

We are looking for a high energy, ambitious and motivated individual to join our Client Onboarding and Servicing team in Singapore. This candidate will (i) partner closely with the Aladdin Business to ensure a seamless Market Data onboarding experience for our clients as part of their Aladdin integration, (ii) face off with external clients providing guidance and expertise for their Market Data needs and requirements through the Aladdin platform, (iii) practice and encourage operational discipline, ensuring all terms and conditions for use of third party data are strictly adhered to, (iv) drive collaborative efforts with adjacent teams to implement protocols and solutions which keep up with the evolving landscape of the Market Data space and the Aladdin Business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Market Data workstream for onboarding of new external Aladdin clients which includes understanding of client's requirements, providing guidance on data licensing and associate data pass-thru fees
  • Participate in Aladdin business development pre-sales activities
  • Respond to business inquiries on market data products and services from our inventory
  • Provide request management support and transparency to Aladdin business partners and Aladdin Clients
  • Work closely with client and internal stakeholders to support onboarding and integration of new data vendors
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of recurring monthly usage reporting
  • Partner with Finance and operation team in reconciling market data vendor invoicing and clients billing
  • Integrate changes to commercial subscriptions into existing entitlement workflow
  • Collaborate with internal Relationship Management team members on reconciliation projects (accounts, services and providers)
  • Actively maintain new or existing documentations ensuring sound operational hygiene

Knowledge/Experience

  • 3-5 years relevant work experience knowledge of the Financial Services industry preferred
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Knowledge of Market and Index Providers and ability to interpret contract terms and conditions is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) are required. Must be comfortable facing off with clients and influencing a broad range of audiences
  • A fast learner and ability to navigate proprietary systems (BlackRock's own and third-party platforms)
  • Outstanding attention to detail and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Proactive with a willingness to stretch outside the comfort-zone
  • Reliable and trusted teammate with strong integrity and ethics. Driven to be a productive part of a highly functioning, collaborative team, and to work in a high expectation and high impact environment.
  • Proficiency with Excel and other MS Office applications is required
  • Experience with SQL is a plus
