Prudential's Group Insurance business manufactures and distributes a full range of group life, long-term and short-term group disability, supplemental health, and group corporate, bank and trust owned life insurance in the U.S., primarily to institutional clients for use in connection with employee and membership benefits plans.
A great opportunity to join the Product Growth Enablement organization as a Manager of Marketing Intelligence, reporting into VP, Growth Strategy & Market Intelligence. The successful candidate's primary responsibilities will include developing and articulating our understanding of how we are performing relative to the Group Insurance industry and our competitors, finding opportunities and risks, and validating strategies to propel us forward.
The current EWA for this position is Fully Virtual. While this position does not require your on-site presence on a regular basis, depending on business preferences, there may be occasions where you are required to be on-site at a Prudential office.
What you can expect
- Conduct market research and analysis of trends in the market and competitive landscape to deliver information and insights to support leadership perspectives, planning and decision-making.
- Develop a catalog of market and competitive intelligence assets to support ongoing intelligence and help the business deepen its understanding of the Group Insurance landscape.
- Proactively identify changes in market conditions, product innovation, benefits technology ecosystem, and competitive landscape to highlight strategic opportunities for Prudential.
- Support product development and new product evaluations by conducting research, analysis, and assessment to aid in helping P&L leaders make optimal decisions.
- Adeptly summarize detailed and complex financial information for senior management to understand past results and project future outcomes.
- Anticipate the needs of key customers and team members.
- Provide coaching to Market Intelligence Analysts.
What you'll need
- Strong interpersonal skills, clear communication skills, team orientation, and a proven track record of forming strong partnerships across the organization and influencing key stakeholders.
- Outstanding strategic and quantitative skills to draw key insights and develop clear recommendations.
- Adept at navigating ambiguous situations and operating in the grey.
- Attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work within defined timelines.
- Strong external focus and deep knowledge of the Group Insurance market, competitive landscape, and implications.
- 5+ years of experience in Group Insurance, preferably in an analytical, financial, strategic or research role.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, Master's degree a plus.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
