As the Learning & Development Manager, you will lead a team of instructional designers in the design, implementation, and evaluation of learning and development programs for Personal Investor Crew here at Vanguard. This team partners closely with our Personal Investor L&D Project Management Team and New Hire teams.

Qualified candidates will have a propensity for leading through change, uncovering knowledge gaps, introducing new technologies and challenging the status quo.

In this role you will

1. Hire, evaluate, and supervise crew. Provide guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Set performance standards, review performance, and make informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.

2. Determine learning needs in consultation with internal partners and identify key learning and development objectives for a business unit or job areas various employees.

3. Create curricula, supporting materials, and various related programs and modules for learning and development initiatives.

4. Ensure learning courses and programs are delivered through the most suitable methodologies, such as individual coaching, classroom training, virtual learning, and various other modules.

5. Assist in evaluating the impact of learning and development programs on crew development, performance, and career plans.

6. Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

What it takes

  • Minimum of five years related work experience.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Prior leadership experience, nice to have
  • Instructional Design or Learning & Development experience
  • Knowledge of human centered design theory
  • Experience in a regulated industry highly preferred
