What is the opportunity?
The Finance team at RBC Malaysia provides Finance and Accounting support to RBC Malaysia locally, in addition to all of RBC's businesses in Hong Kong, Singapore,
As a Manager within the Malaysia Finance team, you will be responsible to manage the Financial Control and Performance Management functions, complete designated Regulatory, Finance and Head Office reporting in a timely manner, deliver Financial Reporting requirements to support offshore Finance Business Partnering in line with the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and provide a first class service evidenced through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and stakeholder feedback.

What will you do?
- Manage the financial accounting records for Malaysia. This includes, but not limited to review month-end closing deliverables, review and provide variance analysis for the non-trading P&L and balance sheet and review monthly balance-sheet attestation.
- Review and update the Delegation of Authority and Finance Authorised Signatory List to ensure proper controls in payment process.
- Manage reporting in line with RBC and statutory requirements, e.g. Standard of Documentation packages, SOX, GL attestation, local regulatory survey and declaration, and Finance and Tax submissions to home authorities.
- Manage Intra-Group and Transfer Pricing invoices and booking of corresponding entries.
- Play a leading role in the year-end audit and ensure financial statements are accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner.
- Assist with the annual budget and regular forecast exercise for the Malaysia businesses, in partnership with the business / function managers.
- Review the financial reports prepared and attend meetings set with various stakeholders for financial presentation.
- Enhance the business partnering capabilities of Malaysia Finance in support of country and business strategies.
- Manage the Management Information Reporting COE and provide APAC Business Partners Management Information (MI) production support in line with SLAs
- Conduct robust reviews of business and function costs, recommend and support cost saving initiatives.
- Actively participate in local and global projects, including assisting in driving continuous process improvements, such as report standardisation and centralisation of processes.
- Maintain standard, centralized processes where applicable to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of reporting.
- Ensure documentation such as procedure notes are current, and maintained in line with best practices.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Tertiary education in Accounting/Commerce/Business discipline and/orAccounting designation (CA, CPA etc.)
- 7+ years' experience in a finance discipline, preferably Accounting, Audit, Management Reporting and Financial Planning & Analysis.
- Working knowledge and application of accounting concepts within a Financial Institution.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication
Nice-to-have
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail to ensure data integrity of submission.
- Able to deal with a variety of issues on a concurrent basis.
- Experienced in team and stakeholder management.
