Job Description

The Global Client Group (GCG) leads Dimensional's efforts to acquire long-term client relationships and increase the firm's reach in the marketplace. Team members work closely with both institutions and financial advisors to offer focused, specialized support and ensure the delivery of a consistently impeccable client experience. The role of Manager, Business Data will be responsible for driving the data governance strategy for key systems used in sales enablement and sales management within the GCG. Day-to-day work will involve managing of a team of data analysts, driving key projects and ensuring data quality and operational excellence for internal-facing systems and third-party data, in addition to other critical business intelligence functions.

This role is part of the larger GCG Business Insights & Tools team. The team sits within the GCG Operations group, which supports the operational needs of the GCG in the areas of business insights, sales systems product management, intermediary relationships, client onboarding, and administrative services. The goal of the GCG is to help Dimensional's clients deliver an outstanding experience for their clients by supporting them in the areas of investments, communication, and strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of analysts in maintaining accuracy and timeliness of critical client asset and cash flow data, CRM data governance initiatives, lead generation, and competitive intelligence datasets across all sales channels of the business.
  • Manage strategy for effective data linkage across Dimensional systems, including CRM, CARS, and third-party industry data, utilizing various global data sources in the US, EMEA, and APAC regions.
  • Manage multiple projects with end-users and determine project priorities.
  • Partner closely with the sales technology team on requirements for data systems.
  • Meet regularly with sales channels to understand data needs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Build, implement and socialize processes that support data governance influence teams to adopt processes and improve data quality
    • Expand proactive monitoring and escalation processes for data issues
    • Define and measure KPIs for the quality of Dimensional's sales data.
  • Act as subject matter expert for projects involving customer data for reporting on key performance indicators within theGlobal Client Group
  • Document current and proposed business process flows
  • Assist team with complex user data requests
  • Train, mentor, and coach direct reports to elevate great talent and help build their career path

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required coursework in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or finance/accounting is preferred
  • 6+ years' experience in consulting, data management, data analytics, business analysis, or similar role
  • Experience managing and leading teammembers (directly or indirectly) and building a long-term team strategy
  • Demonstrated interest in helping sales teams make process-driven, data-informed decisions
  • Proactive in nature, and capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
  • Documented analytical and quantitative skills strong background with large data sets and the data analysis process
  • Excellent computer skills (SQL, Microsoft Power BI/Power Apps/Dataverse, Excel, R/Python, and automation) with the ability to quickly learn and become proficient in new programs and languages
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics
  • Ability to gather requirements amid ambiguity
  • Detail-oriented while maintaining a big picture focus
  • Ability to independently define and manage change within existing business processes
  • Interpersonal communication, verbal, and written skills adept in explaining technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Work equally well in a team environment and independently

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of master data management (MDM) tools and best practices
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI or Tableau, Microsoft Power Apps, or Power Automate
  • Experience with financial industry regulatory data such FINRA and SEC filings (and/or global equivalents) a plus
  • Experience with data providers such as Discovery Data, Broadridge, Envestnet, Money Market Directory, FinSearches, etc. a plus.
