As a highly motivated and experienced Java Developer, you will join our DevOps Account team, which supports settlements platforms at Macquarie. These platforms provide support to several middle and back-office teams globally.

What role will you play?

In this role, youll collaborate with stakeholders and analysts to define requirements and work with the team on coding and testing. You will also participate in production deployment and upgrade tasks. Production support is a key learning component of the role, enabling you to engage directly with users of the system and ensure the stability of the production environment.

You will deliver platform enhancements that follow industry best practices. Additionally, you will build relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, become a subject matter expert for third-level queries and problem-solving, and ensure that quality standards and a high level of professionalism are maintained at all times.

What you offer

  • Hands-on experience of 9 to 13 years in Java, Spring Boot and Shell scripting
  • Extensive experience in financial services
  • Strong SQL and database experience, ideally with either Sybase or Oracle
  • Strong experience with message-based business integration
