Job Summary
The Lean-Agile SAFe Product Manager is a member of the Agile Release Train (ART) Product Management team acting as the internal voice of the
customer/stakeholder.
This role interacts with executive partners, System Architects, business users, and Product Owners to identify, groom, and prioritize features and releases for the program backlog. This role is ultimately responsible for helping to deliver technology and business solutions (add domain responsibilities here).
This role will focus on supporting the Middle Office team within the Investment Operations Department and partnering to support the Agile work prioritized for the Information Technology team supporting Investment Operations. The Middle Office team is primarily responsible for functions related to post-trade execution activity, corporate actions, derivatives, market readiness, security lending, and proxy voting. This role will assist the Head of Middle Office and each of the underlying teams in developing, maintaining, and implementing strategic business roadmaps. This role is based out of our Kansas City, MO office.
Responsibilities
- You understand portfolio and Agile Release Train themes and assist in the decomposition of epics into features and releases to improve early value realization.
- Work collaboratively with all Product Managers within the ART to build a vision and strategy that balance business functionality and architectural considerations.
- You will collaborate to groom and prioritize the program backlog to ensure features are ready for Program Increment (PI) planning.
- Assist in communicating the vision and release objectives during PI planning.
- Validate features and releases to meet their pre-determined acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate dependencies with other Product Managers across ARTs and shared services.
- Work closely with key partners throughout the organization to understand challenges and requirements.

- Understand the Middle Office teams' current state capabilities, core responsibilities, and vision for the future state to the degree vital to enable your teams to effectively prioritize work and provide solutions.
- Drive decision-making, building compelling cases, prioritization, and the necessary development and implementation to effect meaningful change to the infrastructure supporting Investment Operations.
- Manage (attract, develop, and retain) a small team including the Lean-Agile SAFe Product Owner Middle Office.
- You will be involved in vendor solution assessments focused on Middle Office Operations.
Qualifications
- Youve earned a bachelors degree or equivalent related work experience.
- You have a combination of 5+ years of experience in the following financial services, domain/capability (data analytics, investment management, etc.), and working in a role responsible for product
- strategy/vision/roadmaps
- You are highly motivated with excellent communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
- You learn new tools and technologies to work effectively in a rapidly growing environment.
