Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Data Product Owner to join the Home Lending Data & Insights Product Team. This team is part of the Home Lending Transformation group which is responsible for managing and delivering on Home Lending's key Strategic Initiatives.
Under the guidance of the Data & Insights Product Strategy Leader and L2 Product Owners, you will be pivotal in leading agile Scrum teams toward the realization of new data solutions. Your contributions will be key to our overarching goal of supporting Home Lending business strategy to simplify the datalandscape by enabling simplification data strategies across Home Lending products, drive clear ownership and accountability for alldata products, lower tech cost and lower time to market.

Data Product Management Covers jobs responsible for enabling data product design and delivery to drive business initiatives, strategies, and analytics, while incorporating governance set by Data Management. Serves as a bridge between data analytics, data management, and technology focusing on data integration, efficiency, and enablement across data platforms and utilities.
In this role, you will
- Assure the integrity, completeness, and quality of user stories and test cases within Scrum teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and adherence to stringent audit standards. Implement and manage quality assurance processes to maintain elevated standards for product delivery and functionality.
- Communicate product vision, manage the backlog, establish goals, and steer teams toward the development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies and processes.
- Proactively engage with Product Strategy leaders, stakeholders, tech teams and managers across all levels to ensure data product solutions are optimally aligned with business needs. Cultivate and maintain robust stakeholder relationships to manage expectations effectively and align product development with strategic business objectives
- Innovate and sustain advanced data products that enable actionable data intelligence for a wide range of business applications, from operational activities to analytics and reporting. Continuously enhance product quality through rigorous quality assurance standards and practices.
- Lead complex, unique, and critical data product line requirements to meet deliverables by creating Epic's, Features and Stories. Serve as a strategic liaison between requestor, product teams, data engineering, and architecture teams throughout the data product life cycle.
- Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of data, analytics, and integration needs of line of business partners to inform prioritization, roadmap, and architecture design, that influence and lead broader work team to meet deliverables and drive key initiatives
- Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to ensure data product solutions are built for optimal performance and design analytics applications across multiple platforms, resolve data product issues, and achieve goals
- Provide strategic input on new use case intake, prioritization, product roadmap definition, and other critical business processes
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of data product or data management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
- Ability to work effectively in physical and virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
- Technical data expertise to help drive technology and business teams towards an approved data strategy.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
