In this role, you will
Compliance Quality Assurance will be responsible for building and leading a testing team within the Compliance Quality Assurance team. Similar to Audit testing, the Quality Assurance team will perform testing of the quality of design and execution for Compliance processes, controls, milestones, etc. The Quality Assurance team will be expected to apply a consistent and repeatable process whereby they engage with process owners to understand a process and associated controls, design custom test scripts for that process, execute and document high-quality testing (to include employing a sampling strategy), and report on the findings. The lead Compliance officer is expected to partner with Compliance Sr. Manager to document all findings and communicate and defend the reason for the findings when appropriate. This role may be expected to engage and communicate with senior Compliance leaders, so excellent verbal and written communications will be a routine part of this role. The Quality Assurance testing team will provide the Chief Compliance Officer a view into the quality of execution (i.e. timeliness, data quality, policy/process adherence, etc.) of Compliance Processes and controls supporting the Compliance Program.
- Maintain compliance risk expertise and consulting for projects and initiatives with moderate to high risk, over multiple business lines
- Establish, implement and maintain risk standards and programs to drive compliance with federal, state, agency, legal and regulatory and Corporate Policy requirements
- Report findings and make recommendations to management and appropriate committees
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
- Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Monitor the reporting, escalation, and timely remediation of issues, deficiencies or regulatory matters regarding compliance risk management
- Make decisions and resolve issues to meet business objectives
- Interpret policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Work with complex business units, rules and regulations on moderate to high risk compliance matters
- Interface with Audit, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies on risk related topics
Required Qualifications,
- 15+ years of Compliance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education
