seeking a skilled Lead Business Analyst to join our Chief Data Office team. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze, interpret, and leverage data to improve business processes and drive strategic business decisions through the development of Data Products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data, business analysis, and project management.

Role summary and job responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify business needs, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments to gather requirements, understand business processes, and align on project objectives.
  • Communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain clear and well-structured business requirements documentation, including workflows and specifications.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable insights.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives, recommending and implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Utilize business analysis methodologies and tools to support project management processes, such as Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and ensure deliverables are met within established timelines and budgets.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in business analysis to inform decision-making and strategy development.
  • Requires specialized knowledge and expertise in their own job discipline and deep experience in integrating related disciplinary knowledge
  • Accountable for work of self and others sets standards around which others will operate
  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to business partners, internally and externally, to understand their goals and objectives on a regular basis
  • Works on initiatives with high complexity and often high volume, such as a large, diverse number of applications or across a business domain
  • Builds a wide, active network that is regularly engaged

Requirements

  • Typically a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Typically 8+ years of related experience as a Business Analyst, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • In-depth understand of the Financial Service industry, with strong data related project experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in presenting to stakeholders at various levels.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery and business process improvements.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, business analysis methodologies, and project management software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred

  • Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent are preferred

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for remote work up to three days a week.
