The Aladdin Product Groups Post Trade & Accounting Team provides technology solutions for BlackRocks post trade investment life cycle operational processes including Accounting & Reporting platform to support the scale at which BlackRock operates. The team is responsible for a suite of applications including highly complex and scalable performance calculation engines, investment accounting, client reporting systems, platform for reconciliation, derivative management. We innovate incrementally and focus on high level of client service through responsiveness, accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside project managers, technical leads and business analysts to contribute throughout the SDLC cycle.
- Collaborate with team members in a multi-office, multi-country environment
- Partner with other members for design / architect for sophisticated business problems
- Develop and maintain strategic operational systems, tools and processes, including participation in tactical and strategic development projects.
- Ensure software stability via documenting, code reviews, regression, unit and user acceptance testing so production operations run successfully.
- Partner with client support teams to provide level two support.
Qualifications
- B.S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject area with 4 7 years of hands-on development exposure.
- Good hands-on object-oriented programming experience in Java, Spring, JavaScript, Microservices (good to have), Angular (2.0 +), TypeScript (good to have)
- Strong experience with Open Source technology stack (Spring, Hibernate, Apache, JBoss, Tomcat, Ant, Maven, Jenkins, JUnit, etc.).
- Experience with relational database and NoSQL Database (e.g. Apache Cassandra)
- Experience of working in Agile Development Team
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud native development (Kubernetes, Docker) and Cloud Platform like Microsoft Azure
- Open source publish-subscribe frameworks like apache kafka
- Distributing Computing Technologies like Apache Ignite
