As the Principal of ITAM Governance and Process, you will be part of the ITAM leadership, working closely with the team to maintain the ITAM governance framework and drive improved data governance practices. In this role, you will lead the effective operation of ITAM governance inclusive ITAM process library administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain ITAM governance framework for ITAM standards and procedures.
  • Oversee the standard lifecycle, including creation, review, revision, approval, communication, and retirement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure ITAM policies and standards adhere to established refresh cycle and align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure ITAM governance forums are planned, agendas set, and meeting recaps published and archived.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, regulations, and best practices related to ITAM governance and proactively integrate them into the organizations processes.
  • Lead the development and execution of the ITAM data governance strategies in line with enterprise Data Governance Policies and the Data Management Program
  • Work with various departments supported to align data governance practices with both internal and external standards and requirements. Create or update document taxonomies and actively participate in the semantic reconciliation of data models.
  • Assist in monitoring adherence to ITAM data governance policies and regulatory requirements, identifying and partnering with issue owners of potential data-related risks. This includes exhibiting strong relationship management skills to ensure data owners, custodians and consumers are meeting critical business priorities and interacting across areas as needed to solve business objectives.

Key Skills/Experience

  • Understand and be capable of effectively managing the ITAM Governance function.
  • Experience working effectively with diverse global teams to come up with the best solution and motivate people to act (e.g., convening, structuring, owning the agenda and facilitating meetings and workshops)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the company coupled with the ability to reason, persuade and influence effectively.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working on your own initiative and lead others in fast-paced environments.
  • 3+ years experience creating, maintaining and enhancing ITAM related metrics which were leveraged for strategic and regulatory reporting.
  • Capable of engaging senior leadership with business, operations, and technology
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess strong leadership and organizational awareness skills.
  • Possess proven facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Possess exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities.
