Essential duties & responsibilities
- Responsible for partnering in the development of capital market assumptions and strategic portfolios as well as contributing to tactical portfolios/guidance.
- Develops asset allocation and portfolio construction recommendations using quantitative and qualitative research and analysis conduct research studies incorporating long-term and short-term themes and market dynamics.
- Develop and maintain research frameworks and models for the coverage and recommendations of specific equity, fixed income, and non-traditional asset classes and strategies. Ongoing evaluation of investable asset class coverage, portfolio analysis, and actionable IAG portfolio ideas.
- Work alongside portfolio construction and manager due diligence teammates to conduct qualitative and quantitative (ratio, risk, and performance analyses) manager analysis to make manager recommendations for strategy portfolios.
- Contributes to communicating IAG's investment outlook through written publications. Write or co-author timely asset class articles and topical papers consistent with overall strategy.
- Actively contribute and participate in strategy meetings with supporting documentation and rationale.
- Ongoing support and presentations to advisors relating to macro trends, investment strategy, process and custom analysis.
- Travels up to 20% of the time delivering investment strategy and IAG capability presentations for client events, public events, panels and business development.
- Lead IAG projects aimed at accomplishing broad, long-term objectives such as enhancing wealth management services, increasing revenue, improving quality and/or efficiency, and advancing technological development.
- Involved in aspects of trading and review.
- May manage junior members of the broader team.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree required
- 7 to 10 years of macro, asset allocation, portfolio construction, or related experience
- Broad knowledge of global macro, investment and market-related concepts
- Strong quantitative, statistical, and excel skills
- Strong presentation and writing skills and experience in publishing
- Travel up to 20% of time
- Expert technical systems knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree and/or CFA/CAIA designation strongly preferred
- Preferred 10+ years of macro, asset allocation, portfolio construction, or related experience for the overall firm/organizational level

- Prior experience in writing and presenting on macro strategy, asset allocation, and investments for the overall firm/organizational level
- Proven and competitive investment track record
- Ability to translate complex analytical information into understandable terms for investment advisors, clients and other audiences
- Experience with investment research tools such as FactSet, Bloomberg, Thompson One, and Haver Analytics and highly skilled in MS Office PowerPoint and Excel
- Media experience
