About this role
The High-Grade Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team originates, structures, and underwrites various debt securities for corporate clients with predominantly investment grade ratings. The DCM team works very closely with investment banking coverage partners and relationship managers as product experts to provide debt financing solutions tailored to our clients needs. The team's expertise includes public and private bonds, revolving credit facilities, term loans, syndicated acquisition financing, hybrids, and commercial paper among others. The market-leading team is primarily located on the trading floor in Charlotte, NC with a global footprint and coverage teams split across industries and/or products.
In this role, you will
- Join the High-Grade Debt Capital Markets team contributing to serving our clients via the origination and syndication of revolving credit facilities, acquisition financing and term loans among other products within our Investment Grade Loan Syndications pod.
- Assist in the creation of client presentations via data analysis and interpretation
- Support DCM's commitment to risk management and operational efficiency by championing continuous improvement in policies, procedures, and tools employed by the business
- Participate in analyzing companies, develop strategies for clients, pulling market and industry research, and completing a trading simulation within Investment Banking Program
- Review strategies for clients, build detailed financial models, analyze market data, and prepare client presentations related to low-to-medium risk tasks and deliverables
- Receive direction from a manager and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Interact with internal and external customers
Required Qualifications
- 6+ months of Corporate or Investment Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience and/or education
Desired Qualifications
- 6+ months of Corporate or Investment experience
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting
- Experience developing presentation and spreadsheet materials
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills
- Experience with bank products for corporate clients (Revolvers, Term Loans).
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
- Willingness to work long hours in a demanding, highly focused collaborative and fast paced team environment with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results.
- Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment.

Job Expectations
- Registration FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
