Job Description Internal Audit

Enterprise Team, Associate Internal Audit - Enterprise, Associate IA is comprised of the following global functional audit teams covering the various business areas of the firm Global Markets, Investment Management, Investment Banking, Merchant Banking, Global Investment Research, Consumer, Compliance & Legal, Technology, Finance, Risk, HCM, Executive Office, Conflicts Resolution and CWS.

As the third line of defense, Internal Audit's (IA) mission is to independently assess the firm's overall control environment, including the firm's governance processes and controls, and risk management and capital and anti-financial crime frameworks. In doing so, IACommunicates and reports on the effectiveness of the firm's governance, risk management and controls that mitigate current and evolving risk.Raise awareness of control risk.Assesses the firm's controlculture and conduct risks,and.Monitors management's implementation of control measures

Business Audit Enterprise Associate General Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a good understanding of business areas, its products, and supporting functions

Plan and execute audit testing to ensure audit fieldwork is focused on the right areas and documentation meets high quality standards

Identify risks, assess mitigating controls, and make recommendations on improving the control environment

Prepare commercially effective audit conclusions and findings, and present to IA senior management and business clients

Follow-up on open audit issues and their resolution

General Skills & Experience

Strong interpersonal, and relationship management skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Solid analytical skills

Good technical knowledge of relevant areas

Highly motivated with the ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environment

1-2+ years of experience in a public accounting or internal audit role within the financial services industry or a related control function preferred

4-year degree in a finance, accounting, or quantitative discipline,

Relevant certification or industry accreditation (e.g., CPA, CFA, CIA) is a plus

Good understanding of financial concepts and/or operations related to controllers and tax functions

Knowledge in any of the following areas are preferred

Human capital management (HR, employee relations, onboarding/offboarding, compensation)

Vendor management

Spend management/payment controls

Corporate insurance

Controls surrounding regulatory reporting, legal entity reporting, financial reporting and/or tax reporting
