About this role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Institutional Investment Operations Associate.
In this role, you will
- Provide operational and customer support for lifecycle tasks for institutional trades
- Assist with client account onboarding, input and monitoring of cash payments, customer service, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, asset servicing structured loan operations, general ledger reconciliation and work to resolve confirmation and ISDA related issues
- Assist in gathering data to support resolution of issues
- Receive direction from manager and exercise judgment within defined parameters of the area while developing understanding of various functions, policies and procedures
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications
- 6+ months of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications
- B.com/MBA degree in Finance or related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant working experience in US Domestic markets (DTC)/International markets Settlements.
- Sound Knowledge of Trade Life Cycle.
- Working knowledge of Broadridge systems including Impact, BPS, Ascendis, Bloomberg and Gloss.
- Working knowledge of Intellimatch Reconciliation tool
- Working knowledge of industry Regulatory/Buy-In standards and deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially MS Word and MS Excel.
- Working knowledge of Prime Broker operations.
- Working knowledge of Stock Loan and Repo process.
- Ability to demonstrate effective analytical skills.
- Energetic individual that works well under pressure in a team environment with demanding deadlines.
- Ability to identify areas of improvement and also formulate plans to effect positive change within a team environment.
- Detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated and able to react to change quickly.
Job Expectations
- Monitor both internal and external systems related to trade settlements/fail control from both trade clearance and operational risk standpoints.
- Act as a liaison between settlement and various internal and external clients/business partners (Middle Office/Sales, Securities Finance, Compliance, Repo/Funding Desk, counterparty back offices and vendor contacts).
- Maintain a high level of service between settlements and the functional areas we support.
