Job Summary
The impact and inclusion data specialist is responsible for managing all data inputs, outputs, and insights generated by or for the Advisor Inclusion and Sustainable Investing teams. Curiosity and critical thinking are key to success in the role, as the associate will harness the power of data from multiple sources to develop recommendations to leadership that will inform and guide the firm's strategies. The associate will focus on uncovering potential trends and communicating the work and ROI of our team through sophisticated dashboards, visualizations, presentations, and public-facing reporting. The role also entails building process and policy around the use of data shared with our team and how best to utilize information to foster community, recruiting, and asset growth. We are looking for a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment, and more specifically, someone who is motivated to tackle the challenge of quantifying business impacts of inclusive wealth management initiatives. In return, the associate will be poised to grow in our exciting and fast-paced environment supporting advisors and their clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Establish effective processes for internal data collection, ongoing data management, and data sharing across departments or branches, including CRM tracking of advisor outreach. Design, develop and refine reports, dashboards, and visualizations to effectively communicate key insights to stakeholders. Unpack qualitative and quantitative data provided to our team to tell a story and identify gaps or opportunities for resource reallocation. Develop and manage regular communications to support greater understanding and support of Advisor Inclusion and Sustainable Investing initiatives, such as leadership talking points, RJF Corporate Responsibility report, ESG Committee briefings, and Advisor Inclusion council strategy meetings. Lead collaborative projects with marketing data insights, recruiting, and advisor training teams to measure advisor engagement and return on investment (ROI) of Advisor Inclusion and Sustainable Investing initiatives, providing insights to increase success. Evaluate ROI of Advisor Inclusion symposiums and external partnerships.
Develop in depth insights into the data through a working knowledge of inclusion, impact, and
investment initiatives to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to source data in various places across the firm, identify
reporting requirements and ensure metrics align with business objectives, turning complex
datasets into understandable and actionable metrics (KPIs) understood across business units.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of
Basics of investment products and solutions, diversity metrics and protected classes, sustainability metrics, and the wealth management industry. Techniques of data sourcing and manipulation. Best practices in dashboard and reporting creation and maintenance.
Microsoft Excel (i.e., VBA lookups, macros, charts, pivot tables and formulas) and creating
professional PowerPoint presentations
Skill in
Critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity.
Written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate complex issues to
nontechnical persons.
Presentation capabilities.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills to create KPI reporting across five unique
groups using incomplete data tables or unclean data from multiple sources.
Technical aptitude working with data visualization software such as Tableau or Qlik.
Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with advisors and colleagues and to convey key data
insights to leadership used to inform decision making.

Bachelor's Degree with experience, training, or a concentration in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Impact Investing, Wealth Management, or Finance Two (2) years of professional experience
