There are currently two open HR Business Consultant positions available supporting the following divisions Office of the General Counsel (OGC)(1), and Financial Advisor Services (FAS) (1).
Core Responsibilities
- Provides advice and coaching to leaders and crew on Human Resources policies and procedures in alignment with the overall HR strategy. Understands and proactively addresses the HR needs of aligned business areas.
- Manages crew relations cases of medium complexity. Provides consultative coaching and counseling services to crew and leaders. Recommends solutions to senior management on business strategy and its effects on crew.
- Consults with aligned business areas to develop HR strategies that support the needs of the business. Implements HR initiatives within the business area and acts as a liaison to other human resources functions. Contributes to the development of the HR strategy.
- Advocates for the HR agenda with senior business leaders. Aligns the business with global HR policies and programs. Conducts workforce planning activities within aligned business areas.
- Makes recommendations and provides improvement insight regarding program goals and objectives in all areas of Human Resources management. Delivers reports to the business on key HR trends and metrics.
- Provides guidance on diversity, inclusion, and engagement topics. Partners with other Human Resources specialists to strategize and implement the best outcomes for the assigned business areas and Vanguard at large.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Five years related work experience, with at least two years Human Resources experience preferred.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
