We are currently seeking an Engineering Analyst to join our Energy financial advisory practice in Houston Moelis. Analysts are expected to assume significant levels of responsibility requiring intellectual curiosity, motivation, and analytical aptitude.
Day-to-day responsibilities of an Engineering Analyst include
- Help support technical excellence in analyzing and valuing Oil and Gas assets
- Preparing client presentations and interacting with senior bankers and clients
- Company and industry research
- Managing large datasets and extracting business insights
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop Type-Curves and volumes forecasts for oil and gas assets
- Leverage reservoir engineering and data science skills to identify optimal development strategy
- Generate undeveloped inventory for oil and gas assets
- Builds and applies discounted cash flow analysis valuation models based on financial research & analysis (ARIES, PHDWin and/or ComboCurve)
- Involved in execution activities, including basic responsibilities such as data gathering, analysis and material preparation, as well as taking responsibility for managing standard processes such as preparing deal documentation

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Masters degree in Petroleum Engineering
- Prior experience within the oil and gas industry, either through internship, part-time or full-time
Desired Major Petroleum Engineer
Students must graduate by May 2024
Minimum GPA 3.5
