Who we are looking for

State Street is looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Talent Acquisition to lead the experienced hiring (Sr. Associate to Executive Vice President levels) efforts for our revenue generating business groups the Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Product Officer, SSGA and the Global Markets businesses. This role will lead a global team of recruiting, sourcing and interview coordination specialists based on productivity metrics with full cycle responsibility for managing the entire process of experienced hires for these business lines globally including delivering on the inclusion and diversity mandates. They would

partner with the Sr.HR Business Partners and their senior business leadership teams to set global functional priorities and lead the execution efforts.

This critical leadership role is responsible for leading the recruitment function for our client facing and revenue generating teams and ensuring a consistent, effective, client centric and compliant approach that is closely aligned with the strategic priorities of these business and enables them to meet their needs, inclusion and diversity goals. Investment Services brings together our client segments through the Chief Commercial Officer role, the design and deployment of product capabilities through the Chief Product Officer role. SSGA is the investment management division of the firm that creates and manages investment strategies for our clients around the world. The Global Markets division supports the balance sheet business with products and services across FX trading and Sales, Securities Lending and transition management. Collectively, these divisions drive the entire wallet share and revenue for State Street.

Role Responsibilities

  • Actively partner with the Hiring Managers and the Sr. HR Business partners to understand hiring needs and devise a comprehensive plan to be able to flawlessly execute on the same considering diversity and inclusion priorities.
  • Advise key business leaders on the ever-changing hiring trends as a subject matter expert.
  • Own the execution of the hiring plans to best position these businesses in the marketplace to be able to attract the best and brightest talent supporting our strategy to be the destination for the best talent.
  • Serve as a key partner with the Head of Talent Mobility & Internal Recruiting to fully leverage the internal employee base as a critical sourcing strategy to match resource demands.

  • Lead and manage a global team of recruiting, sourcing & coordination specialists including managing for high performance and productivity.
  • Engage and manage key stake holders to review the progress of recruiting efforts, share competitor intelligence fine tune recruiting needs.
  • Actively monitor and manage key performance indicators (i.e., time to offer, aged requisitions, etc.) and partnering to developing action plans to escalate and resolve issues with a view to delivery best in class services to the businesses.
  • Carry a small requisition load - largely senior business critical roles with a high degree of profile and visibility across the business units and operate as a player-coach.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a global talent acquisition leader or equivalent experience with a best-in-class organization with deep functional expertise in recruiting for client facing, revenue generating and asset management related roles.
  • Extensive experience working with senior business stakeholders coupled with strong Relationship Management and Strategic Execution skills
  • Competency with Human Resources technology (Workday) and applicant management systems needed.
  • Ability to forge successful partnerships across organizational and geographic boundaries.
  • In-house recruiting experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of candidates, hiring managers, recruiting and HR business partners
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of developing talent.
