The RIA Custody team at Goldman Sachs is responsible for delivering the firm's trading, execution and product capabilities across asset classes to our RIA client base through our innovative digital custody platform. These digital tools help to transform and provide a holistic end user experience for both the advisor and their clients, while generating new revenue streams for Goldman Sachs' Global Markets franchise. RIA Custody at Goldman Sachs is a product driven team, composed of talented and passionate product managers, designers, researchers, marketers, salespeople and engineers, all working together to develop new and innovative products that will disrupt the RIA marketplace.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a junior sales-trading coverage person access all asset classes at GS's RIA custody business. Responsibilities include working with RIA clients on the GS RIA custody platform to execute both high-touch and low-touch order flow, source liquidity from and coordinate with a number of GS internal trading desks to facilitate trading and best execution. Day-to-day responsibilities will also include covering RIA advisors and overseeing junior coverage people (analysts and associates). This will include the same relationship management responsibilities as a traditional sales trading desk as well as acting as an execution consultant to RIA custody clients in connection with Goldman's equities and listed options capabilities.
Additional responsibilities include coordinating closely with relevant business, operation, legal and compliance teams throughout the equities and equity derivatives franchises within GS to expand the platform's capabilities with the goal of bringing a best-in-class offering to the RIA custody client base. This is expected to include expanding the product set beyond a base product add additional features and capabilities to the platform over time such as FLEX options, OTC options and block trading. The successful candidate will be empowered to drive commercial results for the business through generating ideas and delivering creative solutions to our custody clients.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 1+ years relevant experience in equities, mutual funds and/or listed options sales and execution
- Experience in an execution roleand knowledge of the listed equities/options trading landscape
- Experience covering Registered Investment Advisors and/or independent financial advisors directly and knowledge of RIA custody market is a plus but not a requirement
- Highly motivated with drive, determination and enthusiasm to excel in an advisor facing execution role and drive commercial results in a new business line
- Attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for excellence, integrity and collaboration
