The Commodities Physical Natural Gas Sales desk works with a range of corporate and municipal clients primarily located across North America. Team members help strengthen client relationships across client franchises by partnering with Trading, Strats, Federation team members, as well as other internal GS Sales teams. On a day-to-day basis, team members will be expected to deliver exceptional client relationship management, stay connected with market events across all commodities products markets, and work with the wider team to support and build the overall business.
Responsibilities / Qualifications
- Supporting senior sales coverage with structuring, pricing and executing physical and derivative transactions
- Understanding commodities market fundamentals and trends and communicating information to clients
- Collect, manage and analyze data related to industry trends and client trading activity
- Produce market commentary and communicate market updates in real time to clients
- Developing content and generating trade ideas by liaising with trading teams and GIR
- Executing and booking of tactical/flow-based trades across the asset class
- Interacting with CRMA, Legal and Ops teams internally to help enhance client experience and seamless trade execution
- Helping build new client relationships by working with internal teams to expand the business
- Supporting syndication efforts by working with trading and other sales teams to identify opportunities in offsetting risk management
Other Qualifications
- Strong academic record with minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or a related discipline
- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving ability
- Ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities and work well under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
