The Loan Management team is a business unit within the Global Markets division, primarily supporting the Mortgage Loan Trading and Structured Finance desks. The team is a multi-faceted diligence and asset management platform specializing in whole loan acquisition, sales, securitizations, and asset backed financing opportunities. The Loan Management team has product expertise across mortgages, consumer loans, real estate and warehouse financing.
Candidate's role will have key responsibilities in asset management and risk mitigation of a portfolio of loans collateralized by cash flowing assets.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and/or directly manage a diverse portfolio of structured corporate loans collateralized by residential real estate or mortgages
- Prepare and update monthly reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with negotiation of loan agreements and associated documents
- Assist trading desk and Investment Banking Division (IBD) in platform diligence related to prospective clients and on behalf of the firm and existing lenders
- Monitoring and validation of loan facility collateralization (including credit enhancement and performance testing) and adjustments relative to market pricing
- Coordinate requests for additional leverage/payment activity between clients and internal stakeholders
- Tracking key deliverables and financial metrics under the financing documents
- Effectively capture, analyze and present portfolio trends quantifying risks and opportunities to various internal stakeholders
- Actively participate and partner with Technology to support automation and big data initiatives
- Develop reporting solutions among available data sources
- Maintain systems for tracking projects and communicate results to different business groups
- Monitoring business plan performance, making appropriate tactical and strategic recommendations
- Communicate effectively and demonstrate strong organizational skills in a high pace environment
Basic Qualifications
- Strong communication skills (clear, concise, and confident) with the ability to manage internal and external relationships
- Experience interacting with clients and law firms property managers and third party vendors
- Mortgage banking or other financial industry experience required
- Solid analytical/logical mindset and attention to detail
- Must know Excel at an advanced level
- Ability to prioritize workload, manage deadlines & expectations, work extended hours as required
- Demonstrate leadership skills and promote a positive environment and motivate others
