GLOBAL BANKING & MARKETS

Global Banking & Markets provides financing, advisory services, risk distribution and hedging for our institutional and corporate clients through our FICC and Equities and Investment Banking franchises.

MANAGEMENT AND STRATEGY

The Management and Strategy team within Global Banking & Markets (GBM) reports to the GBM Chief Operating Officer and Chief Administrative Officer to drive and implement strategic initiatives across the business segment. The group operates in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and dynamic environment with a variety of workstreams involving both quantitative and qualitative skillsets. The team regularly interacts with GBM leadership, business stakeholders, and other areas across the firm. This role will have a particular focus on both ad-hoc analysis and standard reporting, as well as supporting GBM's learning, engagement, and training strategy.

RESPONSIBILITES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities

  • Regular reporting of headcount, workload and other resourcing metrics to GBM leadership, including summarizing key trends and themes from the data
  • Build analysis and presentations as part of internal strategy reviews to help drive growth and efficiency for the business segment
  • Play integral role in GBM's learning, engagement, and training strategy through developing session content, owning program logistics / execution, coordinating with speakers, and more across multiple internal-led training programs throughout the year
  • Maintain an internal library of training materials through regular updates and content refresh
  • Help drive strategic initiatives from the COO and CAO, including presentation materials for GBM leadership to use at internal and external events
  • Liaise with stakeholders across GBM (e.g., Business Unit Managers, Franchise Managers and others from the business), as well as colleagues around the firm (e.g., Human Capital Management, Compliance, Executive Office, etc.)
  • Ad hoc analysis and workstreams

Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years work experience, financial services or adjacent industry preferred
  • Innate curiosity and eagerness to learn with a growth-oriented approach and positive attitude
  • Ownership mindset with ability to drive workstreams proactively, exercise sound judgement and treat sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal, as well as strong analytical, data and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and diligent, with strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through
  • Enthusiastic team player able to work efficiently in handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint Tableau a plus
