The Investment Grade Credit (IG) team is seeking a
Quantitative Developer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage in a dynamic partnership with portfolio managers to translate investment challenges into technological solutions, building on Aladdin infrastructure.
- Actively contribute to the IG team's investment process. Proactively lead technological developments and projects that will translate to enhanced risk-adjusted investment performance.
- Collaborate with the technology teams across BlackRock and Aladdin engineering to ensure seamless integration of new data & technological developments into the IG teams tech stack.
- Own the oversight, deployment & management of the IG team's technology stack.
- Stay at the forefront of software engineering, continuously integrating innovative approaches into our development processes.
- Uphold the highest standards of software quality, ensuring reliability and peak performance.
- Supervise the lifecycle of our applications, focusing on deployment, documentation, rigorous testing, and maintaining coding excellence.
KEY
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 4-8 years of relevant experience in the asset management or financial industry.
- A drive to challenge the conventional, with the purpose of developing innovative investment solutions.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills & the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- An in-depth understanding of statistical principles coupled with the proficiency to apply them to practical scenarios in the real world.
- Expertise in design patterns and object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C/C++), with a strong command of data analysis techniques.
- In-depth understanding of relational databases, including SQL proficiency. Experience with building and managing data pipelines.
- Proficiency with version control systems, particularly AzureDO.
- A foundational understanding of finance and investment management, with a quantitative analyst mindset. Proficiency in basic concepts of fixed income markets preferred but not required.
For New York City only The salary range for this position is $147,500 $209,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
