How youll spend your time...
- Provide planning and delivery of strategically aligned marketing events across the region, positioning plans and programmes / initiatives for Continental Europe across all B2B channels.
- Proactively develop and implement approaches that clearly link to the broader data led, digital first marketing focus that deepens engagement with our key client segments.
- Support and where possible lead, implementation and maintenance of marketing events and drive measurable results, that support the broader business objectives, helping to ensure appropriate buy-in, awareness and understanding within the wider marketing team, as well as across the business, to enable successful delivery externally as well as in line with Columbia Threadneedle risk appetite and policies.
- Take ownership of specific projects and activities, managing them through from brief to implementation and post event reporting.
- Build strong working relationships with relevant marketing, distribution, comms, investment, compliance and legal teams to understand overall business, product, and distribution requirements, and help to effectively manage stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
- Proactively support broader Marketing teams in successfully managing stakeholder relationships, including production of regular updates and reports, as required.
- Proactively collaborate across the marketing team to support the delivery of the broader marketing strategy, key initiatives, etc.
- Constructively challenge the norm to deliver significant step changes in client experience and commercial results.
- Serve as an advocate for Marketing Events within marketing, and across the broader business.
- Support the Marketing Events Manager (UK) as required and work closely with them to apply a consistent approach across the region.
- Support the wider business with Corporate and internal events if required.
To be successful in this role you will have...
- Must be fluent in German and English - Italian and/or Spanish an advantage.
- Demonstrable extensive experience and understanding of events.
- Proven excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Strong reputation of team working and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrably process driven with a clear focus on client experience.
- Good understanding and experience of project management skills.
- Student of the game stays up to date on Marketing and industry trends.
- Exceptional eye for detail.
- Calm under pressure.
- Flexible on working hours when required, due to event timings.
- Proactive and prepared to take ownership.
- Good written and verbal skills.
