Fintech Product Manager will
The
support the Investment Management Fintech Strategies (IMFS) team's mission of exploring technologies that could dramatically improve investment performance or make capital markets work better, and to help embed a culture of innovation in the Investment Management Group (IMG). The Fintech Product Manager will lead our engagements with IMG clients as we rapidly and iteratively develop and implement novel and robust capabilities leveraging emerging technologies and partnerships with fintech firms. This role calls for a candidate with high creative intellectual curiosity, and will work collaboratively with the entire IMFS team, as well as a diverse set of stakeholders to deliver robust technology solutions.

In this role, you will
- Executes the strategic direction of IMFS program to implement new investment technology strategies.
- Acquires new applications and toolsets for experimentation and building of models applied to address investment management problems and opportunities.
- Creates and maintains IMFS experimentation software, model libraries, processes and documentation.
- implements new investment management processes for IMFS using emerging technologies.
- Conceptualizes, and helps
- Develops and optimizes technological applications matched to investment management platforms, trading tools, and market operations globally.
- Explores developing financial technologies, tools and emerging applications.
- Leverages human-centered design techniques, lean strategies, and adapts to operating in dynamic environments with ever-evolving requirements and challenges.
- Continues to develop deep knowledge of financial markets and market structure changes in order to bring an informed perspective to current financial technology landscape.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other areas of Vanguard.
- Anticipates researchers', traders', and portfolio managers' needs and ensures their satisfaction related to the services being provided.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
What it takes
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline preferred.
- Minimum five years of experience in a technical or related financial discipline or combination of education and certifications.
- Superior knowledge of investments in areas such as equities, fixed income, and alternative investment strategies.
- Ability to deal with competing priorities and exacting expectations.
- Exceptional conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to build/execute.
- Must be able to work in a collaborative and occasionally fast paced/high pressure environment. Self-starter, motivated, independent, versatile team player and work well under pressure.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to think strategically.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and professional presence. Ability to easily convey complex information between the business and Information Technology.
- Proven experience working in a flexible, fast-paced environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple small projects
