  • Job Description
  • The Regulatory and Basel Team is part of the Controller's Division of Wells Fargo. The team is responsible for producing quarterly management reports for Basel III, Regulatory Schedules (FFIEC 101, HCR/RCR) and other disclosures per Basel. The team is also responsible for providing responses to regulatory inquiries, studies and surveys proposed by the agencies, ad-hoc analysis for Basel/Capital initiatives, and participates in regulatory and audit reviews that include coverage of Basel related calculation and reporting.
  • The key responsibilities of the Financial Reporting Analyst on this team may include, but not be limited to the following
  • Preparation of Regulatory Basel Reports - FFIEC 101, HCR/RCR, Pilar 3 and Management Reporting
  • Preparation of the Capital Metrics for Earnings Release and ensuring the accuracy of reports
  • Reporting of Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk RWAs, Capital and Leverage ratio for the Group and other Depository Institutions.
  • Apply strong data management and aggregation skills and understand the balance sheet data aggregation process of exposure
  • Support the Regulatory Change Management process by testing the changes and presenting the results to the stakeholders
  • May assist other team members with management reporting, analysis, and other ad hoc projects.
  • Assist with researching and responding to regulatory inquiries and completing studies and surveys proposed by the agencies, industry groups, and for other internal requirements.
  • Required
  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following finance, accounting, analytics and reporting or a BS/BA degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business and 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following finance, accounting, analytics or reporting
  • Desired
  • Good Understanding of US Regulatory and Basel framework with focus on Credit Risk, Market Risk and Operational Risk.
  • Understanding of RWAs and Capital concepts
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
  • Excellent skills and knowledge related to SQL to aggregate data from multiple repositories and systems of records
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy (prepopulated)
  • Ability to work on operationally intense projects and across a wide range of functions
  • Ability to work independently and build relationships across teams
  • Ability to interact confidently and professionally with leaders in front, middle and back office functions
  • Strong and demonstrated track record developing credibility with peers, regulators and customers
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills (prepopulated)
  • Essbase and/or Smart View experience
