State Street is seeking a Business Analyst, Vice President in the Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) Office which organizationally sits within Global Treasury. The RRP Office is responsible for the US and international Recovery and Resolution plans, which identify options to recover financial strength and viability under severe stress and details the roadmap for executing on our preferred resolution strategy in the event of severe financial crisis.
Who we are looking for
This Business Analyst role is primarily to perform governance and coordination activities required for (i) the development and submission of State Street's recovery and resolution plans, (ii) the planning and execution of key projects, and (iii) responses to regulator inquiries. Qualified candidates will have the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues both within the RRP Office and across other functional areas to support the execution of key initiatives. Additional skills valuable to the position include a strong work ethic, the ability to manage competing tasks, and have strong and effective written and verbal communication skills. The candidate will form part of a high-profile team in the bank and will have the opportunity to interact with multiple senior stakeholders across the organization.
What you will be responsible for
- Coordinate with RRP team and other business area colleagues on ongoing maintenance and improvement of the RRP program provide specific support on governance related plan content
- Maintain knowledge of RRP regulatory requirements and work with RRP Legal on mapping requirements against plan content
- Administer RRP governance committees, including managing forward agendas, coordination of presentation materials, completion of meeting minutes, and tracking of action items
- Develop response and presentations to address frequent regulator inquiries and meeting requests, including submitting materials by the required deadlines
- Organize content in WDesk document system used for plan submissions, finalize review and formatting, and submit large volume plans by required deadlines through regulator platforms
- Lead the status monitoring and reporting of RRP project plans across all workstreams
- Manage third party risk and contract requirements for RRP system vendors and outside advisors
- Manage the RRP key controls in the Archer platform including tagging to the program
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors or equivalent degree required in a business related field
- 7-10 years of relevant financial industry experience preferred
- Strong project management and organizational skills extremely well organized and efficient
- Experience in working with tight timelines, providing regular status updates and effectively escalate issues as needed
- Excellent verbal communication and written documentation skills with demonstrated ability to write in a concise and professional manner as well as effectively synthesize content
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with experience in running projects
- Proficient with tools such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Capability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
- Attention to detail and accuracy of information presented
- Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to coordinate key projects across multiple areas
