The
Estate Investment Specialist
These individuals handle account registrations from all business areas, such as Brokerage, BRS, Intermediary and Retail to ensure a consistent experience across various client touch points. Key accountabilities include maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction, asset retention and expanding client relationships/share of wallet.
The primary responsibilities of the
Estate Investment Specialist
- Provide clients a single point of contact for each case from start to finish
- Communicate in-depth knowledge of policy and procedure requirements that can vary by state
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of American Century Investments' products and services
- Be available for client consultations with key business partners
- Effectively manage a large volume of estate cases
- Outbound calling to clients at the beginning, middle and end of the estate process
- Deliver a broad range of complicated information in a clear, concise and understandable manner
- Utilize tools such as SalesForce, to document the needs of the client, status of the case and clues for expanding the relationship further
- Prioritize workflow/work volumes to handle assigned notifier and queue work responsibilities
- Research, analyze and review documents to find the best solution for the client
- Work closely with our Legal department to ensure documents received are acceptable
- Communicate with clients via phone, mail and email
- Identify opportunities to gather new and additional client assets by engaging in client-centered discussions
- Work with business partners to explore additional products and services we can offer once the transfer process is complete
- Communicate IRS rule changes and communicate those guidelines as applicable to different deceased situations.
- Adhere and leverage compliance and risk procedures while maintaining the client's best interest
- Position appropriate solutions based on needs of the client's financial situation
- Leverage data and insights to create effective outreach efforts
- Achieve focused business goals as defined by the needs of the business at both a team and individual level
- Apply escheatment rules as applicable to the Estate Transfer process.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage relationships with clients including building trust and rapport
- Ability to have educational based conversations to help clients make informed decisions with respect to their goals
- Utilizes effective time

- Adaptable to the evolving needs of clients, systems, IRS rule changes and internal business model
- Collaborates and innovates open to new ideas
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Sales Force CRM software, Excel, AdobeSign, NetX360, TRAC and TA2000.
Required Experience/Education
- SIE, Series 6 and 63 or willingness to achieve
