What is the opportunity?

As the Equity Specialist, you will work closely with the investment team to identify client needs and generate ideas/themes on global and regional equities.

What will you do?

  • Identify global and regional equity investment opportunities.
  • Provide analysis and views on global and regional equities.
  • Maintain the equity product shelf (including guided portfolios, ideas/thematic lists).
  • Communicate the house view on market strategy and equities to Relationship Managers and clients.
  • Issue timely updates on global and regional equities and equity markets.
  • Present equity ideas in weekly sales meetings.
  • Participate in in-house strategy meetings, formulating strategy on assigned market(s).
  • Liaise with Relationship Managers to assist clients in making informed equity investment decisions.
  • Review portfolios and participate in meetings with clients.
  • Collaborate extensively with global equity desks.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management or a related field and other related professional qualification
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, with minimum 5 years in direct equity roles
  • In-depth knowledge of key global equity markets and listings
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Demonstrate thought leadership, shaping RBCs view for both Relationship Managers and clients
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills
  • Self-starter who can work on projects independently
  • Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Bloomberg skills
  • Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese

Nice-to-have

  • CFA is preferred
