Tech Risk Global Cyber Defense & Intelligence Engineering

WHO WE ARE

Led by the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Technology Risk secures Goldman Sachs against hackers and other cyber threats. We are responsible for detecting and preventing attempted cyber intrusions against the firm, helping the firm develop more secure applications and infrastructure, developing software in support of our efforts, measuring cybersecurity risk, and designing and driving implementation of cybersecurity controls. The team has global presence across the Americas, APAC, India and EMEA.

Within Technology Risk,Global Cyber Defense and Intelligence (GCDI) team identifies malicious activity, manages the lifecycle of vulnerabilities within GS technologies, and investigates and manages threats across the firm. We are a team of security, software, and product engineers that allow the firm to respond appropriately to firm risks using detection models, security architecture, and cutting-edge cyber threat analysis to manage internal and external threats against the firm.

YOUR IMPACT

In this role, you will be a key addition to GCDI Engineering's Vulnerability Management and Response team which operates in multiple capacities across a variety of internally developed technologies and vendor products. As an integral part of the engineering organization, you will leverage multiple tools to identify and collect information about vulnerable software and systems, enabling timely remediation which ultimately protects the firm from cyber-attacks.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

As an Engineer in GCDI Engineering's Vulnerability Management and Response team, you will be an integral part of a technical team that is responsible for the infrastructure that identifies vulnerable software and systems across the firm.

In this role, you will collaborate with GCDI's Vulnerability Response Operations and Cyber Intelligence teams to collect requirements, develop, architect and deploy vulnerability management solutions on premise and across multiple cloud providers. You will ensure these systems are configured, streamlined, integrated, automated and monitored for effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities

  • Development, maintenance, and continual improvement of the vulnerability management platform, processes
  • Contribute to vulnerability management strategy and automation
  • Collaborate with various teams to understand the vulnerability management needs and collectively develop remediation and mitigation strategies
  • Perform vulnerability management product POCs as per the defined requirements.
  • Deploy, configure, and support vulnerability scanning technology in the public cloud across virtualized and containerized environments
  • Implement automation and integration scripts in languages such as Python
  • Maintain knowledge and skillset relevant to trends in the industry

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 1.5 - 4 years of experience, with vulnerability management tools such as
  • Demonstrated understanding of infrastructure components and cloud vulnerability scanning
  • Experience deploying tools and software in virtualized and containerized environments
  • Strong understanding of Linux Operating Systems
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP and Network Security
  • Demonstrated ability to automate processes and integrate systems via scripting languages such as Python
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sense of ownership and driven to manage tasks to completion
