Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Associate

Minneapolis

New York

The Associate will report to and work alongside our Co-Head of Talent to lead, support and execute efforts across the firm to engage, hire, develop and retain a diverse workforce and cultivate an inclusive environment where all employees feel a sense of belonging.

Primary Responsibilities

In partnership with the Co-Head of Talent

  • Analyze and leverage DEI metrics to inform strategy
  • Craft impactful and informative firmwide communications
  • Develop and implement DEI strategies across the organization including logistical support for initiatives
  • Support and guide the DEI Council
  • Cultivate external relationships to stay on top of industry trends
  • Manage the firm's DEI partnerships and propose new ideas and strategy

In partnership with firm-wide Employee Resource Groups

  • Work with ERG leads to ensure goals and objectives support and align to broader firm DEI strategy
  • Meet regularly with ERG leads to communicate key priorities, align on progress, and build relationships
  • Create, evolve and maintain operating procedures, tools and resources to support the strategic goals and functioning of each ERG
  • Support key projects that contribute to ERG success
  • Draft communications and liaise regularly with key stakeholders across the businesses and Human Capital to ensure all parties are aware of key dates, initiatives, and information
  • Set standards and develop avenues for collaboration across ERGs
  • Be an empathetic listener to concerns raised within communities, protect safe spaces, and elevate key insights as appropriate

In partnership with Human Capital Team

  • Coordinate with the recruiting team to facilitate and support inclusive hiring efforts
  • Partner with the Learning & Development team on DEI related training and initiatives including providing participation data for tracking and reporting purposes
  • Partner with HRIS team on DEI metrics, responses to business line Request for Proposals (RFPs), and required reporting

Perform other duties or responsibilities as needed or assigned

This position will require both strategic advice and support along with administrative support and coordination.

Qualifications

  • 3 5 years of DEI related experience
  • Experience in professional service environments preferred
  • Experience managing projects and deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong data analytics skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to function and produce results in a fast-paced, high performance, growth-oriented environment
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to work in a team environment and anticipate needs of the group
  • Ability to be creative and flexible
  • Comfortable sharing perspectives with senior leaders and in group settings
