BlackRocks Systematic Fixed Income (SFI) group manages more than $80 billion in global fixed income assets across ETFs, active long-only, alternative, and liability driven strategies. The platform offers fixed income investors one of the industrys broadest array of investment choices across security-selection and factor-based investment styles.
BlackRock's Credit Center of Excellence (CoE), which is a part of SFI is hiring a Credit Portfolio Manager, who will focus on day-to-day aspects of managing active long/short-market neutral fixed income portfolios. The PM will assist in implementing credit strategies across three multi strategy hedge funds using systematic processes and market insights. The PM will collaborate closely with the quantitative researchers within the Credit CoE to ensure that our investment strategies evolve and improve over time. Additionally, the successful hire will form close relationships with other portfolio managers, product strategists and other stakeholder groups across BlackRock, including, BlackRock Capital Markets and Risk & Quantitative Analysis (RQA).
Please note we are able to hire at either the Vice President or Director level.
Your Responsibilities
- Implement systematic strategies' daily trading flows, as indicated by the strategies' optimization process.
- Applying a certain level of fundamental overlay to account for any meaningful short-term gaps in the strategies' insights.
- Interact with capital markets and credit traders on best execution and liquidity needs to ensure proper implementation of strategies and trade ideas.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly performance attribution, commentary and ad-hoc analysis for both internal and external use.
- Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers to identify any opportunities to improve the systematic process.
- Collaborate with product strategists to ensure that we provide clients with timely insights to our positioning and performance.
You will ideally have
- Strong background and track record as a European credit market investor.
- Ability to grasp quantitative concepts and its application to portfolio management.
- Solid understanding of multiple sectors and individual companies in the European market.
- Experience with Aladdin tools and applications knowledge of Aladdin data sources a plus.
- An ability, or a willingness to learn, to code in Python would be a clear plus.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a sharp attention to detail.
