Director, Financial Control Frankfurt
What is the opportunity?
To support RBCEG legal entity control function to ensure that books and records are maintained in accordance with relevant rules and regulations.
You will be responsible for timely and accurate delivery of financial information to key stakeholders and understanding and implementing local regulatory reporting requirements.
You will provide assurance of integrity of Balance Sheet and PL and provide meaningful financial information to the Business to facilitate decision making process.
As Director, you will run the month-end financial process and be esponsible for other financial control tasks to support the wider financial control function.
What will you do?
Reporting
- Presentation of and managing the preparation of reporting to support key RBC EG governance forums e.g. Finance & Tax Committee
- Responsible for understanding local regulatory reporting requirement and facilitation of reporting delivery
- Understanding/keeping abreast with local regulatory developments.
Financial Control & Accounting
- Responsibility for management and statutory accounts
- To facilitate month end accounting close
- Monthly Balance Sheet accounts attestation oversight.
Audit
- Support the preparation and provision of information to internal and external audit and supporting the closure of any finance related audit points.
Regulator Interaction
- Managing the wider finance teams relationship with the German regulators acting as key point person for communication.
People management
- Responsible for building out and managing RBC EG Finance team.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
- Strong understanding of financial statements
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Financial Control and accounting experience
- Qualified accountant with strong academic background
- Regulatory Reporting experience
- Able to speak German and English.
