Head of Unified Reference Architecture

What team will you be on?

You will be a member of the Enterprise Architecture team (EA), reporting directly to the Global Head of Enterprise Architecture. EA is a team within the Aladdin Engineering team and responsible for building a firm wide architecture culture and embedding our architecture principles into everything we do. They are responsible for providing a comprehensive blueprint that guides decision making, planning and execution across Aladdin.

Overview of Role

As Head of Unified Reference Architecture, you will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Unified Reference Architecture (UnRA) framework for our Aladdin Asset Management Platform. This framework will prioritize dynamic scalability, adaptability, and resilience to unlock the full potential of Aladdin, build an open platform for asset management, and lead the industry in using data and AI.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a Unified Reference Architecture framework that promotes dynamic scalability, adaptability, modularity, and resilience, and supports the organizations strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to drive the adoption and implementation of the Unified Reference Architecture framework, providing guidance and support to ensure alignment to defined principles, patterns, and guidelines.
  • Lead and mentor a community of domain architects, fostering their professional growth and knowledge sharing, and creating a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with business leaders, product managers, and technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into architectural solutions that align with the Unified Reference Architecture framework.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies, industry trends, and standard methodologies, and continuously evolve the Unified Reference Architecture to meet evolving business and technology needs.
  • Communicate sophisticated technical concepts to both technical and non-technical partners.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Confirmed experiences (5+ years) as an enterprise architect, solution architect, or similar role, with a focus on scalable, adaptable, modular, and resilient architectures.
  • Strong understanding of modern architectural patterns, cloud computing concepts, microservices, API-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with Domain Driven Design practices for designing APIs, events, and data for loosely coupled application architectures.
  • Excellent leadership, mentorship skills, with a track record of successfully leading architectural initiatives.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Familiarity with architecture strategies to reflect security and compliance

Our hybrid work model
