What will you do?
Transformation Leadership
- Key leader as part of a CM centre of expertise that will champion transformation in the business, help CM business leaders understand the true costs of running their business, and integrate across all lines of business to develop plans and enable execution on productivity, efficiency and cost cutting initiatives
- Enhance cost transparency by introducing new ways of identifying efficiencies and new ways of working to create value for RBC CM clients, shareholders, and employees.
- Unlock efficiency opportunities derived through cross business/functional Horizontal' opportunities
- Develop and report on metrics and reporting to measure productivity and efficiency targets
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and apply extensive Capital Markets knowledge to ensure best in class solutions that transform business results
- Develop and implement operating plans aligned with COO and CM-wide goals, monitor progress through metrics and benchmarks and adjust strategies as necessary
- Manage the setting and tracking of OKRs across all COO departments on behalf of the COO, sharing alignment with strategic priorities and facilitating regular updates and adjustments with strong strategic insight
- Coordinate bonus planning a year-end performance reviews with each leader and alignment with COO mandates
- Plan and execute leadership offsites and town hall meetings for the COO, to foster strategic alignment open communication
- Create and maintain scorecards that provide a comprehensive view performance facilitating data-driven decision making and effective communication of results to stakeholders
Program & Stakeholder Management
- Accountable for measurement and tracking of productivity metrics support business / functions with productivity metric development works closely with Finance to ensure linkage to PARs/annual business plans.
- Develops and sustains trusted advisor relationships with senior executives and senior leaders across the enterprise (business / functional partners) by providing strategic advice and driving a new way of working'.
- Ensures team fosters and sustains strong partnership, collaboration and teamwork across the enterprise.
- Defines the planning and execution of team's work plans and regular updates for assigned initiatives - organizes and executes assigned initiatives, structures team/work sessions, manages risk, ensures work is of highest quality and deliverables are achieved as planned.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to report on benefits targets and realization against them
- Provide constructive challenge to businesses and functions on potential benefits, and any changes
- Builds consensus with differing views in a constructive manner and applies appropriate escalation practices.
- Recognizes business complexity and make trade-off decisions to prioritize appropriate actions to achieve work stream (productivity and efficiency) objectives.
- Conducts comprehensive analysis using analytical frameworks, approaches, tools and methodologies and develops robust recommendations.
- Proactively identifies, analyzes, obstacles and path-finds solutions to establish/sustain team momentum and minimize impact on workstream timelines and deliverables.
- Leverages change management best practices to drive adoption, challenge the status quo and mitigate resistance of efficiency and productivity initiatives.
- Raises the profile of Productivity & Efficiency initiatives and topics across Capital Markets

- Devises strategies to promote productivity & efficiency while enabling leadership to make decisions.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-haves
- 7-10 years experience in large transformational initiatives/programs focused on cost efficiency, productivity and continuous improvement.
- Proven skills in story boarding and developing meeting materials used in executive-level decision making.
- Experience in Financial Management, Analysis and Planning.
- Experience in RBC PAR process and annual business planning.
- Proven experience in attracting and developing high performing talent and highly engaged teams.
Nice-to-haves
- Strategy or consulting experience in a Consulting Management, Financial Services, or Entrepreneurial environment, or other comparative experience
- Education, certification and designation requirements Required University Degree or equivalent. Preferred MBA, Masters in Finance, CPA, CFA, CMA, CA
