Summary of duties Make architectural decisions by analyzing business processes to deliver efficient solutions. Construct, optimize, and redesign data pipelines and computation platforms to support next generation of products and facilitate deeper analysis. Provide platform-wide solutions for data ingress, transformation, and egress including data API specifications and implementations. Perform process engineering and optimization around data governance, oversight, and production. Architect the firm's accounting platforms. Operationalize data pipelines to enable squads to deliver high quality data-driven products. Partner with third parties, such as consulting firms, to develop technical specifications. Focus on scalability, performance, and capacity from development through production for critical strategic implementation of new accounting platforms. Reduce errors on deployments, improve reliability, and increase speed of implementation through automation. Refine toolset to improve data and persistence layers. Create applications using various information technologies including Angular, NodeJS, HTML, and CSS.
Qualifications Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation. In the alternative, employer will accept a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in one of the above fields and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires seven (7) years of experience in the following skills (with Bachelors degree) constructing platform integrations and designing service APIs performing enterprise software development in Java and web development stacks working with OLTP, OLAP, and data warehousing systems using Sybase and SQL to build scalable data platform solutions utilizing event and stream processing technologies to construct event driven architecture building multi-tier, scalable, fault tolerant web applications and leveraging complex cross-domain applications in a global organization across multiple time zones. In the alternative, employer will accept a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in one of the above fields and five (5) years of experience in the above-listed skills.

For New York City only The salary range for this position is $230,000 $267,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
