As a
Defined Benefit Onboarding Analyst,
as well as establishing the plan level coding used to determine benefits
. We are looking for someone who thrives on solving unique problems using advanced analytical skills and enjoys working with various internal partners and tools pending the business need.
Additional Responsibilities may include
- Complete assigned projects according to established timelines, including gathering and organizing information/data, processing benefit calculations and analysis. Identify, recommend, and implement areas for improvement at the individual plan level as well as overall processes.
- Communicate effectively with internal business partners regarding all aspects of defined benefit coding and calculations.
- Create and utilize desktop tools to facilitate efficient review of incoming participant data and completion of benefit calculations.
- Analyze and review benefit information may involve performing quality reviews.
- Mentor team members and act as a SME expert. Serve as technical expert on workgroups and projects.
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Who You Are
- Bachelor degree preferably in a major in an analytical field (such as but not limited to Math, Actuarial Science, Statistics) OR 3+ years of work related experience preferred.
- 3+ years of previous experience using defined benefit systems preferred.
- Strong mathematical, technical, and analytical skills along with keen attention to detail.
- Must have strong decision making and organizational skills.
- Must have strong mentoring, interpersonal and listening skills.
- Must be able to interpret complex plan provisions.
- Must be able to handle a heavy workload and ability to prioritize.
- Must be a team player and a positive influence in a team environment.
- Knowledge of spreadsheet and database software or similar PC software packages, is required.
- High integrity and discretion to ensure the confidentiality of sensitive client data.

Work arrangements
This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC).
