Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Data Management IT Audit, Vice President. In this role you will provide leadership in executing the strategy for Audit's Data Management audit coverage. This role is responsible for maintaining effective partnerships with key senior leaders in the IT organization, such as the business CIOs and program leadership.

As a direct report to the Managing Director for Horizontal IT, supports the annual audit planning and development, risk assessment, scoping and execution of audits related to the horizontal IT processes and risks of a globally systemically important bank.

Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available

What you will be responsible for

As a Data Management IT Audit, Vice President you will

  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in evaluating and testing internal controls and in applying Data Management audit skills.
  • Support the execution of a risk-focused audit plan, review and approve audit work products to ensure thorough effective coverage and timely and effective escalation of issues and conclusions.
  • Support the career development of team members through proactive coaching.
  • Influence effective and sustainable improvements to processes and controls through insights gained based on risk and control expertise.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and relationship building skills in interactions with internal and external stakeholders including executive management and regulators.
  • Champion continuous improvement in Data Management audit practices.
  • Help drive consistent risk assessment and audit coverage approach of Data Management controls across Business Units and Corporate Functions.
  • Draft, review, finalize and communicate audit deliverables, including audit findings, memos and audit reports to senior and executive management.

Additional responsibilities include

  • Participate as a non-voting member of various steering committees, management working groups, promoting balanced discussions and encouraging challenge and debate.
  • Prepare relevant risk and audit reporting to key stakeholders including executive management and governance committees.
  • Provide insight on the evolving Data Management regulatory environment and interact with regulators.
  • Stay abreast of industry and technical matters and efficiently and effectively apply applicable new developments in audit projects.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Public Accounting, IT Audit, Consulting, or Business Process Engineering preferred, ideally in the Financial Services industry.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferable in information systems, computer science, accounting or related field Advanced degree in information technology, cyber security or systems engineering.
  • One or more industry recognized certification (i.e., CIA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, and Cloud+) and the willingness to continue to learn and grow.
  • Proficient or knowledgeable in evaluating and testing internal controls and in applying a risk-based audit approach.
  • Experience in data analytics and data visualization.
  • Strong expertise or experience auditing certain technology-related areas such as
    • Data Management
    • IT General Controls
