Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Management Analyst. This job is responsible for collection and extraction of data to be analyzed to support business needs and future trends improve business decisions.
In this role, you will
- Design and conduct moderately complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gaps.
- Adhere to data governance standards and procedures.
- Identify data quality metrics and execute data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality.
- Design and monitor data governance, data quality and metadata policies, standards, tools, processes or procedures to ensure data control and remediation for companywide data management functions.
- Support communications with basic documentation related to requirements, design decisions, issue closure, or remediation updates.
- Support issue remediation by performing basic to mildly complex data profiling, data or business analysis, and data mapping as part of root cause or impact analysis.
- Provide support to regulatory analysis and reporting requirements.
- Recommend plans for the development and implementation of initiatives that assess the quality of new data sources.
- Work with business and technology partners or subject matter professionals to document or maintain business or technical metadata about systems, business or data elements, or data-related controls.
- Consult with clients to assess the current state of data quality within area of assigned responsibility.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following data management, data governance, data quality or data analysis (default)
- 2+ years of SQL experience
- 2+ years of experience with data manipulation, cleansing, and transformation
- A BS/BA degree or higher
Desired Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with Wholesale Customer Information System (WCIS) database
- Understanding of advanced technology concepts and related toolsets including file transfer, web services, replication, publish/subscribe services, scheduling, user interfaces, etc.
- Flexible and self-motivated, with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to take ownership of the task assigned.
- Domain knowledge as it relates to Wholesale Banking (CB/CIB)
- Experience with Wholesale systems, requirements, data flows, and solutions.
- Knowledge of real-time system design principles, complications, and solutions.
- Identifiable knowledge, experience and understanding of Wholesale methodology, process and methodologies.
- Identifiable and extensive analytical skills, ability to think outside the box and move concepts to implementation.
- Identifiable communication and presentation skills - both written and verbal with ability to clearly communicate ideas and results to diverse business and technical audiences.
- Identifiable skills and experiences in the area of customer / partner support.
- Identifiable skills and experience as a technical liaison.
- Knowledge of operational systems/processes that exist within the Wells Fargo Wholesale footprint.
- Must be detailed oriented and highly analytical, role requires this for smooth implementation experience.
- Demonstrated ability to map out complex problems and break them down into consumable parts.
- Demonstrated ability to present complex problems to large audiences to gain consensus and buy in.
- Advanced skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
Job Expectations
- This role will be responsible for either leading or supporting efforts related to delivery and maintenance of the Customer systems. At a minimum, the role is expected to
- Participate in analysis around business, process, data, and interface areas. (40%)
- Create, update, and maintain business requirements, data flow diagram, process flow diagrams, SharePoint documents, and any other related documentation. (20%)
- Participate in partner meetings assist partners in understanding system integration challenges, and go above and beyond to keep our partners happy. (20%)
- Participate in project planning, testing, system and user support, security maintenance, monitoring, and any other tasks needed to deliver items for our business partners. (20%)
