Job Summary

Drive change through the power of data analytics and insightful reporting by joining our growing team of metrics and reporting analysts whose primary objective is to harness the power of data to inform and guide strategic decisions within the Raymond James Supervision department.

The Supervision Metrics and Reporting team's mission is critical to facilitate the design, development, and routine reporting of operational and risk metrics through effective data sourcing, extraction, and analysis.

For this role, we are seeking a candidate who can evaluate business needs, use technical skills to analyze data, engage with associates across the Supervision organization and successfully communicate outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Design, develop and refine

reports, dashboards, and visualizations to effectively communicate key insight to stakeholders.

Dive deep into data analytics, turning complex datasets into understandable and actionable metrics (i.e., KRIs and KPIs) and reports.

Conduct in-depth insights into the data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.

Prepare and contribute to regular reports using PowerPoint and MS Word for senior management, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

Collaborate with the technology department on procuring data for analysis, collecting & interpreting business requirements into fully functioning dashboards and reports.

Ensuring the highest quality in our reports, meeting reporting service level agreements even under the tightest deadlines.

Play a key role in developing use cases and business requirements for reporting needs.

Participate in user acceptance testing to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our data models.

Stay abreast if industry trends and advancements in analytics and reporting technologies to continuously improve our capabilities.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify reporting requirements and ensure metrics align with business objectives.

Implement and maintain reporting tools and dashboards for near real time analytics and insights.

Ability to retrieve data from various technology solutions, assess that data, and develop meaningful reports.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge and Skills

  • Hands on experience in data visualization and developing intuitive dashboards, using tools such as Tableau and Qlik Sense.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (i.e., VBA lookups, macros, charts, pivot tables and formulas) and creating professional PowerPoint presentations

Possess knowledge of SQL, Python, and/or other data and query programming languages including writing efficient queries.

Understanding of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and cloud services (Merlin, Alteryx, IBM, AWS etc)

Basic understanding of products, services and risks related to the financial services industry (specifically Wealth Management) desired but not required.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics or related field [Business Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance] and a minimum of three (3) years of professional experience.

Licenses/Certifications

Licenses/certifications demonstrating the candidate's knowledge/expertise in data analytics and/or business intelligence software preferred.
