What is the opportunity?
As a member of the CFO Initiatives, Controls & Governance Team, you will be you will be looking at automations, data manipulations and process improvement opportunities within Financial Control.
The role will involve working closely with departmental business analysts and functional department SMEs to understand processes in order to drive improvements, automation and innovation through the use of various tools at your disposal.
This role presents an ideal opportunity to develop a wide range of core accounting, reporting and control skills as well as develop a key overall understanding of the Capital Markets businesses and how each operates within the legal entity framework.
What will you do?
Data Analyst
- Analyse processes, gather requirements, look for solutions to improve and see through the implementation of these solutions.
- Interpret data using careful business-grounded logic and analytics techniques to test controls, find exceptions, and discover insights and trends.
- Work through ad hoc requests at peak times based on monthly and quarterly reporting needs
- Work with various visualisation initiatives.
- Support the maintenance of existing or built processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve and streamline current processes.
- Provide strong financial governance, including assisting with monthly reporting cycle and related account reconciliations and standards of documentation.
- Ensuring adequate documentation of processes and procedures are maintained.
- Member of the Data3Sixty Analyze working group within the European CFO Group.
- Ad hoc projects and tasks as required.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Graduate with a focus in Engineering, Statistics or Computer Science or similar.
- Python, SQL, VBA programming experience.
- Experience using ETL tools such as DataAnalze360, Dataiku or Alteryx.
- Strong Microsoft Excel quantitative, financial and analytical skills.
- Good MS Office skills Power BI, Word, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, written and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
- Ability to learn data analytics and data visualisation tools.
- Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Part or Full Professional accountancy qualification nice to have.
- Knowledge of or experience in the Financial Services industry.
