Credit Valuations & Analytics, Analyst
Job Description
Blackstone's Portfolio Management - Valuations and Analytics team is looking for an Analyst to prepare, evaluate, analyze, and summarize portfolio investment valuation results for Blackstone Credit & Insurance. In addition to valuations, the team is called upon to handle a variety of ad hoc and recurring analyses related to portfolio monitoring and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining valuation models by working with the investment teams and finance teams while coordinating with 3rd party independent valuation specialists
- Supporting the BXC monthly and quarterly valuation process by creating deliverables including portfolio company dashboards, portfolio summaries, liquidity analyses, etc.
- Adhering to best practices in development of valuation methodologies, including compliance with ASC 820 Fair Value guidance
- Performing analysis to incorporate all relevant information to the valuation process including analysis of the transaction structure, the modeling and methodology adopted, available market data and/or any proxies considered appropriate, applicable reserves/valuation adjustments and any relevant regulatory, risk or accounting considerations
- Analysis and formal communication of key valuation results, issues and risks to the Valuation Committee on a monthly basis
- Assisting with LP and stakeholder reporting by maintaining company performance metrics and valuation analytics on a centralized platform
- Supporting the year-end audit valuation testing by responding to audit inquiries relating to valuation models and related
- documentation
- Perform special projects and ad-hoc analyses determined by the needs of Senior Management
Qualifications
- 1+ years of valuation experience at a public accounting firm, third party valuation provider, or investment bank/asset manager
- Bachelors Degree in a related field
- Progress towards or completion of finance-related professional qualification (i.e. CFA, CPA) preferred
- Knowledge of private investment valuation
- Knowledge of financial instrument valuation and risks measurement in a complex product area
- A self-motivated individual with strong work ethic and a positive attitude

Expected annual base salary range
Additional compensation Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individuals experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
