Who we are looking for

A Counsel will generally have at least five years of experience as an attorney, preferably in the financial services industry. A Counsel will have significant responsibility for legal service to, and resolution of legal issues for, several clients. A Counsel must demonstrate an ability to work with general direction from more senior attorneys on complex clients and possibly work independently on less complex clients. In addition, a Counsel must demonstrate a good working knowledge of the 1940 Act.

This job can be performed remote.

What you will be responsible for

As Counsel you will be responsible for

  • Keeping current with legal developments.
  • Supervising the preparation of materials for Board and shareholder meetings and you may attend meetings, record minutes of meetings and pursue issues raised at meetings.
  • Managing the preparation of, and coordination of, the filing of all non-financial documents requiring filing under the federal securities laws.
  • Spotting issues relating to clients, researching solutions and coordinating with more senior attorneys to resolve issues.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • J.D. Required
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience
